Why Colleen Created This Three-Part Anxiety Relief Workshop
Colleen has struggled with anxiety her whole life. She has never been clinically diagnoses, yet she hasn't sought that out either. Yet she assumes she would be diagnosed if she did seek that out. Her whole life she has functioned on a very hyperactive activity of desiring everything to be perfect, needing everything to go as planned or I feel disappointed, frustrated, and even worse angry. She began to realize that she was always exhausted. It felt like everyone else was getting ahead even though they would call her to dump their problems onto her. Leaving her feeling like nothing was left to give into her life. She noticed this pattern and started to research anxiety. Anxiety from Google is the feeling of fear, dread, and uneasiness.
She began to realize she was fearful of what her friends would think if she didn't answer the phone immediately. She was uneasy if she didn't answer the phone or text message what someone might think. She was uneasy if someone said we'd hang out on Friday at 7pm, if they would actually show up or not. After she would have a great hang out with someone she would fear that she messed everything up or that they thought she was a bad person. It got to a point where it was almost like every text message, every phone call, every client interaction she would second guess herself wondering if she messed everything up. She would spend hours going into a whole spiral of thoughts, calling all her friends about it, then she would be left exhausted and needing to take a nap and before you know it she didn't get what she needed to get done before the end of the day.
Well in 2020 she began to take it very seriously that she wanted to heal her anxiety and understand why she functioned in such a highly nervous state. She felt like everyone else around her was always so calm. She would be unable to understand why everyone was so calm when people are dying in the world, wars are going on, child are being harmed. She would be screaming at her friends, "what is wrong with you, how do you not feel the pain of what is happening in this world?" Luckily her friends knew she was going through an upgrade or an episode yet she wanted to learn how to move through anxiety more expansively as it began to come up more and more. She then began to realize that there was a pattern of when her anxiety arose. She began to see that anxiety was actually activating a spiritual gift for her to thrive. So she wants to share with you how she has learned how to better manage her anxiety, use it as a spiritual gift, and most importantly feel relief when her emotions feel out of control, so this can happen for you too.
